Holidays
Thanksgiving went well. Brenda had prepared everything from pies, to cookies, to mashed potatoes, to squash to bring with us. Her family has been very welcoming of me, though they hardly know me. I'm not too big on the Hallmark(R) holidays, but am looking forward to seeing family and friends over the next few weeks.

You paid attention during 63% of high school! 51-67% You are smart enough to be ashamed of still scoring so low; remember that there are books in the world, full of information? Yes, books are our friends. |

New Couch
![]() New Couch Originally uploaded by Cliff Franceour. Well, a new Futon, actually.. Ikea is a shopping hell, but they have decent stuff for cheap, overall. We opted for a futon in case someone decides to get drunk and needs to crash over, ot if anyone comes to visit our little odd-shaped place. We no sooner got the thing set up and the little shit was in the middle crashed out. The lighting is horrible, hence all the noise in the photo. |

Trails in New York
![]() Trails in New York Originally uploaded by Cliff Franceour. So a couple weekends ago we went to the annual "Back to School run" for various Nissan Xterra off-roading groups. Brendas brother had invited us along for a weekend of camping, mild partying, and 4x4ing through the mountains of upstate New York. The views were rather stunning and I hope to get back sometime this fall when the leaves change to just take it all in and hopefully get some good shots. I'm so happy to be in such a beautiful part of the country with someone that is truly amazing. Life is good. :) |

Waching the sunset on the Atlantic
![]() Waching the sunset on the Atlantic Originally uploaded by Cliff Franceour. After two crazy weeks of getting ready to move we've arrived in Rhode Island safe and sound. We've been working on getting settled and such in our temporary home while Brenda interviews for jobs up in the Boston area. I've been trying to get a feel for the highway system and such around here. People drive much more aggressively than I am used to, not to mention the 20-30MPH over the speed limit in most areas. After being up on the coast for the sunset we walked around Newport for awhile. I'm both nervous and excited about starting the new job next week. I've been at the same place for so long.. But it was time to move on. The people I will be working for seem to be genuinely good people. I'm hopeful that Brenda will find work within the next couple of weeks so that we can get relocated into Boston. As it looks, I may have over an hour commute each way until then. I'm not complaining, mind you.. It will just be nice to be closer to work so I can have more time home when not working. |
